Fixing the “Initializing Player” Issue in BitCraft Online

We’re aware that some players are running into an “Initializing Player” problem when trying to play. This issue doesn’t come from a single source — it can be caused by a variety of things, including your internet connection, PC hardware, outdated DirectX, corrupted or older game builds, or even bugs on our side.

Our team is actively investigating a permanent fix. In the meantime, here are some steps you can try to get back into the game:

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Update your DNS settings – Switching DNS can sometimes resolve connectivity issues. The specific way of doing that may differ depending your router's manufacturer; you should be able to find the instructions online on their website or in the manual for th device.

  2. Try a VPN – This can help if the issue is related to your connection route. If you are using a VPN already, try disabling it as well.

  3. Verify game files on Steam – Check for missing or corrupted files. To do so, open Steam, navigate to your Library, and right-click BitCraft Online. In the context menu, select Properties, then Installed Files, where you will see the option to verify the game files

  4. Reinstall BitCraft Online – Uninstall fully, then redownload and reinstall.

  5. Update your PC and DirectX – Make sure that your Windows/MacOS/Linux system is up to date:

    1. Updating Windows. This will also update your DirectX
    2. Updating MacOS
    3. Updating Linux is a bit more complex and specific steps will depend on your distribution of choice
  6. Check your game version – Play on the latest official build (not preview builds).

  7. Wait and try later – Sometimes, the issue resolves on its own after a short time.

Important Note

These steps may not permanently resolve the issue, but they often help players log in and continue playing. While you try these workarounds, we’re working hard to improve stability and deliver a lasting solution.

Thanks for your patience and for playing BitCraft Online!
